A weekend in Oslo

The first weekend of September I went to Oslo with some of my German friends. We had a very nice and sunny weekend in this beautiful city.

The first weekend in September me and my German friends went to Oslo for a sightseeing trip. We started on Saturday morning and went with two cars to Oslo. Some of the Germans came by car to Norway which can be very convenient because you are very flexible while organizing trips and don't depend on any public transports. From Kristiansand to Oslo you need more or less four hours and we arrived there and went to our Airbnb which was a very nice flat close to the center.

We left our luggage in the flat and went out for a walk to discover the city. The weather was really good and sunny so we could go out in a T-shirt and enjoy the sun.

We got hungry after a while and went to the Mathallen to get some food. There are lots of small restaurants inside but you can also buy the food and sit outside.

Later, we continued with our sightseeing trip and saw a lot of the city. We saw the palace from a distance, the parliament and the opera house. At the opera house we went for some coffee and hot chocolate.

At night we went home again to have dinner in our house and prepared some tacos. Later, we went to a rooftop bar to have a good view over the whole city at night.

At the next day we went again to the opera house to take some photos and enjoy the sun. And we went to see the town hall, and the harbor behind it. Then we had pizza in the city district close to the town hall and later, we saw the palace from a closer view and the Vigelandsparken which is a beautiful park with lots of interesting sculptures.

After seeing all those beautiful parts of the city we had to go back to Kristiansand because it was already late and we had four hours in the car to go back. All in all the weekend in Oslo was really nice and I recommend it to everyone to visit this city while you are staying in Norway.
